Daily Prompt # 45:A night with a wolf

wolf wallpapers HD

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Under the Snow.”

You were caught in an avalanche. To be rescued, you need to make it through the night. What thought(s) would give you the strength to go through such a scary, dangerous situation?

The very first time I ever imagined myself in such a situation was when i was in my high school. We had this Bayard Taylor’s poem called “A night with a wolf”. Trust me, this poem literally transformed the way I started seeing beasts in my life. For more detailed description on the poem click here.

Whenever I am stuck in any bad situation say an avalanche and I need to make it through the entire night… or whenever I am about to run a marathon all I say is the following words to myself

psalm 25

What do you do when you are going through a difficult phase of your life??

Please let me know 🙂

Thanks for reading this post.

Lots of love and hugs,

This is the tomb of Ibrahim Adil Shah II (ruled 1580-1627), the fifth king of the dynasty and known for religious tolerance, built on a single rock bed. Exceptionally conceived and finely decorated, it is one of the supreme achievements of the Adil Shahis. Designed by a Persian architect, Malik Sandal, the tomb and a mosque are…

Day 11 – Photography 101 – A Pop of Color

Sky is the limit for your imagination

Photography 101: A Pop of Color.

Boom! The golden sky

CLOUDS” are the only thing that never makes me feel bored by looking at them. I am a big time cloud watcher and perhaps my favorite way of killing time. When I have nothing to do I sit in a place and admire them, they are the ones which inspire me a lot to think artistically, I always feel that there is a story behind every single cloud before taking its shape.

The picture I’ve posted here here is handpicked from the archives. It was around 6 in the evening, when I went up to the terrace out of boredom and surprisingly the pattern of cloud caught my eye in the evening sky; I was stunned at the amazing texture and was immobile by the beauty for a couple of minutes. It all seemed like there is someone…

Daily Prompt # 44:Dear Husband!!

love letters vintage

You’ve been given a key that can open one building, room, locker, or box to which you don’t normally have access. How do you use it, and why?

via Golden Key.

Here I go with a fictional letter from a wife to her husband. Due to some reasons Carla feels her marriage has lost all its lustre and is now nothing but a boredom affair. Its one morning before Shaun heads for office, Carla awaits for him to acknowledge her love but faces with severe disappointment from her husband. So out of frustratio, she jots down this poem to him and mails him back.

Dear Husband,

Its been ages that we have been with each other and yet i once again ask you the same question… “How are you?”
I know you are going to see me like a stranger and reply “I am fine” and i accept it as a gesture of our so called “perfect” relationship.

But once you leave the house, I still wonder whether I fell for the right person or not.
Your smiles are a mystery within them… because they pop up forcefully not from your heart…

Your talks seem so plain for me these days
Because they are mostly on the football games or the marathon TV shows

Its almost you have forgotten how beautiful were we both together
And as I write these lines I want to dissect our relationship with the golden key made of understanding and patience….

This key almost leads to the tight locker where we have stuffed all those good moments of our lives…
And have almost forgotten the very existence of the locker and its contents.

It was almost treated like the forbidden fruit until today…
When you walked away without even kissing me, I felt its time to open the unaccessible locker

Its in the attic… the place where we made love last time
But now, i dirty my hands to pick the heavy box of our beautiful “Once upon a time” relationship

I cough, and dust off the brown layer of dirt on the locker ….
All i see first is the bunch of letters we exchanged during all those years of our courtship…

I took the first one in my hand and it read
“Carla… No matter whether our marriage works or not.. always remember you will always be my first and last love… Forever…”

2 rivulets emerged out of my brown eyes
And i realized how much of a big crime i had committed…
By not reading you all these years…

All i can now do is wait for you indefinitely near the attic
Until you come to our home sweet home, built with bricks of love and care…

Baby, come back from your office soon!!!
Because “Shaun, no matter how angry I am on you… I will always be there to prepare the hot mug of coffee and give you a warm hug when you come back to home… just like I have been doing all these years”

Daily Prompt # 43:Will wait for you honey…

puppy waiting

Waiting Room.

“Good things come to those who wait.” Do you agree? How long is it reasonable to wait for something you really want?

I totally agree with this statement due to umpteen experiences in life which demanded hell amount of #Waiting from me.

I am glad I waited for so long for certain pursuits in my life. They taught me the value of being patient on the essentials of life.

true love is worth waitingVery often we stop waiting only because we easily give up. The most common example of “Waiting” is found amongst lovers. This is best portrayed in the movie “Jab Tak Hain Jaan” … okay i know i am being hardcore SRK Fan now. But I could not think of a more easy example.

People make fun of those endless years of waiting for your loved ones just like this below scene:

They may mock at you, not believe in it, may say its all filmy. But sometimes somethings are worth the WAIT and need not be proved to everyone that it is not FILMY.

Why at first place, we should wait?

Its because, you never realise the value of things which come easily into your lives. It takes moments of patience to sit back and rethink why they matter so much to you. Sometimes, these moments turn into years, but that doesn’t mean its waste. Its just a reminder of how much you value something in your life.

Below is once again a scene from the same movie where the importance of waiting for someone for years together is explained beautifully.

Finally, i want to share few thoughts on waiting. It sure is one of the hardest parts in our lives to wait for some dreams to come true. Trust me, its not going to be a waste. Its going to be worth each moment you spent in waiting for it to come true. All you need to do is, to sit and keep yourself calm. Because all the best things in life are byproducts of hundreds of UNBEARABLE HOURS SPENT IN WAITING FOR IT TO COME TRUE. That does not mean, you just relax your back and wait for some miracle to happen. You need to work hard towards your goals and then wait till God scratches your name from the endless waiting list.

This is best described in the final climax scene of Jab Tak Hain Jaan.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post.

Please share what “WAITING” means to you. Would love to hear your thoughts on the same.

Thanks for stopping by !!!

Lots of love and hugs,
