The Solitary Writer

Journeying through solitude, crafting one blog post at a time, in silence.

It all takes just one step at a time

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Make It Anywhere.”

“If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere,” goes the famous song about New York City. Is there a place — a city, a school, a company — about which you think (or thought) the same? Tell us why, and if you ever tried to prove that claim.

Life is full of mysteries and surprises loaded for each one of us. We never know when we encounter something and how that something changes our life completely. Very often, we hear stories about courageous breakthroughs and stories about people living the life of their dreams.

What do they all have in common?

Its that one step which they took to encounter the difficult situations in their lives.

Its that one step which gave them the courage to keep sailing, no matter how worse things came into their way.

That one step motivated them to take another one with the feeling “If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere”

Very often in my work place I often hear people speaking about “Significant Achievements” in life. Most of them always grumble that they have not achieved anything in their life which is not true. Because if they had not achieved anything in their lives they would not be alive and working for a prestigious company today. Also, I feel a lot of us ignore the shine in our own lives and try to appreciate and admire the shine of others.

Very often this leads to a very big complex in most of them. This complex further leads to people feeling that “Their life is one big useless project by God”. But trust me,

….if you just step out of your comfort zone and take one step at a time, believe me you will create wonders for your own life.

Be grateful for having both of your parents alive in your life

Be grateful for having the company of your family whenever you miss them.

Be grateful for your mama, for you’re still fortunate than those millions who crave for Mother’s love in their lives.

Be grateful for your daddy, for you are a hundred times luckier than the one who lost their father for some terrible cancer.

Be grateful for your girlfriend/boyfriend because you are far far lucky than millions of people who lost their love and are busy Googling ways of  coming out of that trauma.

Be grateful for your job which gives you so much financial security in your life to buy all that you want and never depending on anyone for your luxuries

Be grateful for that one friend who is always beside you to hug you and inspire you when you need it the most.

Be grateful for that one teacher who taught you lessons for your life.

Be grateful for yourself that you have endured so many hardships in your life and you are still alive, unlike those millions who commit suicide.

Be grateful to your heart which beats non-stop even when you achieve or don’t achieve in your life. Just look at the faith it has in you till the end. It never stops beating.

So gear up yourselves for a beautiful journey called as Life with the words

If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere

Thanks for reading this….

Lots of love and hugs,
